At your favorite restaurant, order something completely out of your comfort zone, something that you’ve always wanted to try, something you don’t know if you’ll like.
Worst case, you don’t like it (and can order something else instead).
Best case, you’ve got a new favorite dish.

In a similar vein, I got eggplant in my CSA box this week, and I’ve never ever had eggplant. (I clearly grew up sheltered)
I grilled it up in slices with a bit of goat cheese, and I think I’ve found a new favorite vegetable.
