Windows Keyboard Shortcut of the Day

Ctrl+0: Hide Columns in Excel (Ctrl+Shift+0 to Unhide Columns)

Similar to yesterday’s tip, you can press Ctrl+0 to hide the column where the cursor is located. Ctrl+A, Ctrl+Shift+0 unhides all the columns in the sheet.

Ctrl + Shift + 0 does not unhide the column in Excel 2007 (vista system). Is there any bug fix for this since I’m sure this shortcut has not been removed as it is still mentioned in the Shortcut keys list and in the tip of the day given on top of this page also. Make sure you have the hidden rows/columns selected when you do this keyboard shortcut. Since they’re hidden, that’s a bit tricky. The best thing to do is go to a cell before the hidden part, then press Shift while you use the right arrow or down arrow key to go after the hidden part, then press Shift+Ctrl+0.

Or, as I said in the original post — press Ctrl+A to select everything first.
