F2: Rename File
Previously, we saw that you can edit a cell in Excel using the F2 key.
We also have discussed dialog boxes and working with files using the Windows Explorer. In order to quickly rename a selected file, just press F2. It works a little like editing a cell in Excel.

this actually works in a variety of applications. i use it all the time when renaming files and folders in windows explorer, but i also use it to rename songs in itunes all the time as well as cell-editing in excel and google spreadsheets. i use it wherever i think it might work, and chances are, it does.
