The Start menu

The Start menu lets you launch programs, shut down your computer, and access the control panel.

To open the Start menu, press the Windows key or press Ctrl+Esc.
To close the Start menu, press the same key again, or press Esc.
To select the “Shut Down…” command from the Start menu to shut down Windows, press Ctrl+Esc, U, Enter.
